What are Flexible Pouches?

Stand Up Pouches

Stand-Ups are one of the most used and popular types of flexible pouches. The common granola packagings, you usually see at every grocery store are flexible bags. Moreover, these are resaleable packings. On top of the packet, it has a tear-off tab. You have to remove it at first, then allow the sealing of the package to open and reopen, you can close it and open it until the product gets finished.

Moreover, stand-up pouches have a plastic zip-lock under the tear-off tab. These are a perfect choice for liquid packagings. For the juices, they have a plastic cap to open it close it after pouring the liquid into your glass.

Gusseted Pouches

Gusseted pouches have semi-oval shaped indents on both sides of the wall. The said design makes a square or rectangle base of the bag. These have a few similarities to the stand-up pouches.

However, due to some unique features, these are different from traditional stand-up flexible pouches. The top of the packaging has a variant kind of resale ability element.

The tops of the gusseted pouches pressed have together and folded down. This is a repeating process. The manufacturers repeat it until it gets a sticky section (usually a glue). The top sealed until customers open the bag.

Pillow Pouches

Pillow pouches are one of the traditional and most used food packagings. We must say that this an old and longest-running type of flexible bag.

Pillow pouches are used in the packing of potato chips, snacks, crackers, instant single-serving coffee, and other types of smaller and single-serving eatables. These the most economical packaging options for the food companies. Moreover, they have resealable and non-resealable options.

Almost at every house, you have seen the pillow pouches. These are exceptionally the most used packaging kind of flexible industry.

Three Side Seal Pouches

Three side seal pouches have made of metal foil and clear plastic.

The two sides of the bags used metal foil and on the one side, they use plastic. Sometimes, the three-side seal flexible pouches made through the paper materials.

The two sheets of paper material placed on top of each other. After the placement of substances, they seal the top through the heat-sealing method. They have to close the pouch from all three sides.

The top or bottom of the pouch left open intentionally. After the filling of the food, machines seal the lids. 

Liquid Pouch Packaging

Liquid pouch packagings are famous for liquid food items. They have different variations including stand-up, three side seal, burst, and dual element pouches.

You have seen the liquid pouches for the packing of hot sauces, ketchup, BBQ sauce, mustard paste, relish, energy drinks, squashes, nut butter, liquid dietary supplements, industrial liquids, and many other types of fluid eatables.
